Aya Tsuji

Aya is a slim woman with carefully styled hair and a belted dress. Her appearance reflects her profession, but her ambitions go beyond making clients look attractive. She sees herself as a fairy godmother who can guide them toward love and happiness.

She is calm and businesslike, even when a customer becomes angry. She also expects clients to respect the conditions of her treatments. Her strictness can seem severe, yet she changes her mind when she recognizes genuine care between Yukako and Koichi.

Aya operates Cinderella in Morioh, offering beauty and body treatments. Yukako visits because she hopes that a more favorable appearance will bring her closer to Koichi. Aya's work succeeds at first, but Yukako discovers that a magical makeover comes with instructions that cannot simply be ignored.

Cinderella can remove and replace features of the face and body, including fingerprints. Aya uses it for treatments meant to improve a client's romantic prospects. Some changes are temporary or depend on the client following specific conditions; the ability is not a promise that every alteration lasts permanently.

For Yukako's extended treatment, Aya requires her to reapply a special lipstick every 30 minutes. When Yukako neglects it, her appearance begins to break down. Koichi's willingness to accept and protect Yukako persuades Aya to restore her face. This episode shows both Aya's demanding rules and the compassionate ideal behind her salon.
