03Character Profile

Tonpetty spends many years training in seclusion in Tibet and has a calm, composed bearing. He is strict with his pupils and places particular importance on fate and on knowing how far to pursue one's training. He holds great seniority and prestige within the Hamon tradition.
04Abilities
Besides his mastery of Hamon, Tonpetty has a special ability to foresee the future. By shaking someone's hand, he senses the wavelength of their life and can describe when and where their destined death will occur. Simply touching Zeppeli's hand allows him to predict Zeppeli's fate and the time of his death.
05History
Story spoilers
Tonpetty takes Will as a pupil when he is younger. After three years of severe training, Will is about to progress to the advanced methods of Sendō. Tonpetty urges him to stop so that he can avoid his destined death, but Will remains resolute. Years later, Tonpetty receives Zeppeli's request for help and travels to Britain with Straizo and Dire. Dire goes ahead to meet Jonathan's group, and Tonpetty and Straizo arrive afterward. On learning that Zeppeli has died, they join the campaign against Dio.
At Dio's stronghold, Tonpetty witnesses Jonathan's battle with the monstrous Doobie and sees Dire challenge Dio and die in defeat. He then fights large numbers of zombies alongside Straizo. After Dio is defeated and Jonathan loses consciousness, the two finish clearing away the remaining zombies. Following the battle, Tonpetty joins the others in seeing Jonathan and Erina off on their honeymoon. His subsequent activities are unknown. Many years later, Straizo inherits his mantle and becomes the leader of Tibet's Hamon users.
