Tonio Trussardi

An Italian chef devoted to making his customers feel better, Tonio operates Trattoria Trussardi in Morioh. Instead of handing out a menu, he examines a customer's condition and prepares an individual meal. His warm service contrasts with his absolute insistence on cleanliness in the kitchen.

Pearl Jam is a colony of small, tomatolike Stands that Tonio mixes into his food. Once a suitable dish is eaten, its ingredients' healing properties are amplified to a supernatural degree. The treatment may cause dramatic bodily reactions before the customer's body returns to normal with the targeted ailment relieved.

A dish is matched to a particular condition, rather than being a universal cure for everyone who eats it. The quality and suitability of the ingredients also matter. In Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan's Poaching Seashore, Tonio seeks special abalone because his ordinary ingredients cannot cure his lover's tumor.

The Stand is named after the American rock band Pearl Jam.

Stand parameters: Power E; Speed C; Range B; Durability A; Precision E; Development Potential C.

Tonio appears in Diamond is Unbreakable and later in Poaching Seashore, a story in Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. Alfredo Chiarenza portrays him in the live-action television adaptation. That version expands his background and changes some details, so its account should be distinguished from the manga.

His gentle cooking-centered role and unexpectedly useful Stand make him a memorable contrast to the series' combatants. The character has also appeared in merchandise, including a painted figure released in September 2016.
