03Appearance and personality

Kinoto is a thin man in business clothes and a long coat. His most striking behavior is not a talent he proudly shows off, but a desperate attempt to conceal his back. He presses himself against walls and twists into awkward positions to avoid exposing it.
Quiet and timid, he is controlled by the fear that someone looking at his back will kill him. Cheap Trick's influence makes him behave in ways that seem bizarre to Rohan, who initially does not understand the danger.
04Stand abilities
Cheap Trick attaches to its host's back. When another person sees that back, it drains and kills the current host, then transfers to the witness. The architect does not command it as a useful partner; he is its first shown victim.
The Stand can speak to people and animals, encouraging them to look at its host. Its physical strength is low, but its transfer condition makes ordinary attacks a poor answer. After attaching to Rohan, it shares his position as its user, so simply trying to remove or attack it risks harming him.
Its parameters are Destructive Power E, Speed E, Range E, Persistence A, Precision E and Development Potential E. Its name comes from the American band Cheap Trick.
05Story
Story spoilers
Yoshihiro Kira's Arrow awakens Kinoto's Stand, but he lacks control over it. He is then commissioned to inspect Rohan's burned house. Rohan uses Heaven's Door to examine him and becomes curious about his obsessive attempts to keep his back hidden.
When Rohan tricks Kinoto into a position that exposes his back, Cheap Trick kills Kinoto and leaves his body shrunken. The parasite then clings to Rohan. Kinoto's story ends here; the later confrontation in Ghost Girl's Alley is Rohan's struggle with the Stand, not Kinoto surviving or traveling there.
With Koichi Hirose's help, Rohan brings Cheap Trick to the alley. He makes the Stand look behind itself, where the alley's spirits seize it. This separates the outcome of the parasitic ability from the fate of its original host.
06Live-action version
The Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan television drama changes Kinoto's background. He works on a resort development involving Mutsu-kabe Hill and is possessed by a supernatural being rather than receiving a Stand through the Arrow. That version is an adaptation of the character, not an additional event in his Part 4 manga history.
