03Appearance and Personality
Yoshihiro usually appears as an elderly man's ghost living inside a photograph. The picture provides both a refuge and a means to move around the physical world. He is obsessively protective of his son, hiding in the background and manipulating events to shield Yoshikage from exposure.
04Stand: Atom Heart Father
Atom Heart Father connects the space recorded in a photograph with the real scene. Yoshihiro can move within the image and interact with photographed objects, and those actions affect the people and objects outside it. The photograph's frame also confines the people caught in that space.
Destroying a picture containing other people is dangerous because damage can be transferred to its subjects. The camera itself is an important weakness: Jotaro takes a new picture showing Yoshihiro alone, isolating the ghost from the room he had been manipulating. Yoshihiro can still survive in his picture, but its eventual destruction ends his existence.
The Stand's name adapts the title of Pink Floyd's album Atom Heart Mother.
Stand parameters: Power E; Speed E; Range not assigned; Durability A; Precision E; Development Potential E.
05History
Story spoilers
Before his death, Yoshihiro obtained a Stand Arrow from Enya the Hag during a trip to Egypt and used it to awaken his own ability and his son's Killer Queen. After dying, he remained in a photograph and continued protecting Yoshikage.
When the heroes investigate the Kira house, he attacks Josuke and Jotaro with Atom Heart Father. Although Jotaro temporarily confines him, Yoshihiro escapes with the Arrow. He then creates new Stand users and encourages attacks on Josuke's group, trying to keep them away from his son.
During the final battle, Yoshihiro hides in Hayato Kawajiri's clothing and uses a mobile phone to report Josuke's location. Josuke discovers the scheme and misdirects Yoshikage, causing one of Killer Queen's air bombs to destroy the photograph sheltering his father.
