03Background
Her English name, Holy, means sacred. Before her marriage, she was known as Holy Joestar; after moving to Japan, she also used the name Seiko Kujo. She is connected to the Speedwagon Foundation through the Joestar family. Her husband, Sadao Kujo, is a jazz musician who is away on a concert tour during the events of Stardust Crusaders.
04Appearance and personality
Holy has a gentle disposition. Even when Jotaro scolds her from his jail cell, she does not become angry. She dotes on him so much that he sometimes finds her fussy, but the bond between mother and son is very strong.
05Abilities
Holy's unnamed Stand takes the form of green vines bearing pink fruit, resembling Hermit Purple; its specific abilities are unknown. Her bloodline causes her Stand to awaken against her will, but she lacks the fighting spirit needed to control it. It continually drains her spiritual energy, leaving her gravely ill and in danger of dying. She returns to normal only after DIO's death.

Story spoilers
After Jotaro brings Noriaki Kakyoin home, Holy develops a high fever and collapses because she cannot withstand her Stand. This is an effect of DIO's influence: defeating him is the only way to cure her, and her life will be in danger within 50 days. Those 50 days become the deadline for Jotaro and his companions to reach Egypt and defeat DIO, launching the story of Part 3.
