03Story
Story spoilers
Sadao's life is only briefly mentioned, and he does not appear in person. A member of the Joestar family by marriage, he and Holy have a son, Jotaro. His marriage to Holy also makes him a relative of Josuke Higashikata.
04Career and family background
Sadao is a renowned Japanese jazz musician, although it is unclear whether he was already a musician when he married Holy. His profession, together with Holy's father Joseph's dislike of Japanese people, seems to have made Joseph less than fond of him. His musical career forms part of the background to this family tension, but the series does not describe its development in detail.
During Stardust Crusaders, Sadao is away on a concert tour. This accounts for his absence from the Kujo household while Holy's illness sends Joseph and Jotaro on their journey.
