02Appearance
L.A. is a young man of below-average to average height with long, voluminous hair and a notably feminine face. L.A. has thin eyebrows, sometimes inconsistently shown as no eyebrows in the manga. He wears goggles at the top of his head. His outfit is a long-sleeved collared shirt and pants similar to his father 's. The shirt has a target imprinted on the chest and dots covering the surface, and the pants have dark rings around each leg. L.A. also wears a belt around his waist.↗
03Personality
L.A. is childish, naive, and prone to emotional outbursts. He struggles with basic arithmetic, asking his family to calculate the combined prize money for finishing in the first three places. He also believes Andre 's claim that their mother was a stork and wonders if he looks like one.↗↗↗
He is emotionally dependent on his father and brother and looks up to Andre, admiring his tricks and asking how he performs them. Despite their frequent insults, L.A. remains attached to both.↗↗↗↗↗
L.A. occasionally makes useful observations, only to be mocked by his family. When he points out that Gyro and Johnny are beyond the range of Benjamin's bullets, Benjamin calls him a "know-it-all". He also questions how they will catch up to the pair when they are already among the leading racers, prompting Benjamin to sarcastically call him "the family's smart-ass".↗↗↗

Background
According to Benjamin, the family acquired Tomb of the Boom 1 2 3 while prospecting for a mine in a desert mountain avoided by the local Indigenous people. Mountain Tim later identifies this area as a Devil's Palm. Benjamin says that the mother of Andre and L.A left the family and "became a whore".↗↗↗↗
Steel Ball Run
L.A. enters the Steel Ball Run with his father and older brother. He hopes that Benjamin, Andre, and he will occupy the first three places and collect their combined prize money. During the 1st Stage, the family murders Mark Becker, David Hagen, and Paul Lukather, three otherwise unrelated competitors whose bodies are discovered together with their intestines stretched behind them.↗↗↗↗↗↗
During the 2nd Stage, the family pursues Gyro Zeppeli for a $200,000 bounty offered by Oyecomova. L.A. and Benjamin join Andre's ambush of Johnny Joestar and Gyro. Benjamin orders them to spread out around the pair, reprimanding L.A. for remaining beside him. L.A. proposes that Benjamin finish first, Andre second, and he third, and asks how much the combined prizes would be; Benjamin answers $5,150,000 while insulting him. While circling the pair, L.A.↗↗↗↗↗↗↗↗↗↗
L.A. questions how they will catch up to two favorites to win the race. Benjamin mocks him and explains that he intends to make their pursuer attack the pair instead. Impersonating Johnny, Benjamin exposes Mountain Tim to the same magnetic ability. When the three magnetized targets begin drawing together, L.A. asks to get closer so that he can watch their organs burst out.↗↗↗↗
After Andre weakens from his injury, L.A. accompanies Benjamin to confront Tim, Johnny, and Gyro. He draws a shape in the sand and uses Tomb of the Boom 3 to restrain the trio with iron sand. Tim fires at him, but Benjamin protects him with his Stand and orders him to sever Tim's rope. Benjamin prevents Johnny from using a bullet as a weapon, but Johnny's newly awakened Tusk cuts Benjamin in two.↗↗↗↗↗
Enraged by his father's death, L.A. grabs Johnny and attempts to tear blood from his arteries. Johnny uses his spinning nails against the ground to propel himself above L.A., then cuts through the front of his left foot, leaving him unable to walk.↗↗
As the trio leaves, L.A. threatens revenge and reveals that the family attacked Gyro because someone from Gyro's country offered $200,000 for his death. Tim explains that the surviving Boombooms cannot escape the desert, have little water left, and cannot be found by rescuers, leaving them to die of thirst. L.A. continues shouting after the trio as they depart.↗↗
