01Basic information
02Appearance
03Personality
Reisui Takashima is an immensely skilled photographer with a dedication to his craft. His exceptional photography meets even Rohan Kishibe's high standards for worthy reference material. Reisui focuses on more than just pretty photos: he has the ability to make even dirty places look good in a picture. He distinguishes himself by how graphic his material is, primarily being attracted to used homes and places where tragedies have occurred. His main priority is always finding new ways to branch out, as he worries about losing his job to AI, a stance Rohan finds agreeable. Reisui's genuine focus and passion in his work earns Rohan's trust as a fellow artist.↗
Despite his expertise, Reisui behaves very immaturely for his age. He lacks social awareness due to a childish inability to read the room, making it very easy for him to anger other people. He moves to his own rhythm and forces others to expend energy to adjust to his pace. Even in professional meetings, he overwhelms others with small talk, lame puns and bad jokes. His personality greatly irritates Rohan.↗↗
Reisui also collects all kinds of things that pique his interest, including an action figure of a meme about a cat wearing a helmet.↗↗

Background
When Reisui Takashima was a child, his parents became distant toward each other after taking out a loan to buy a defective house. His mother began cheating on his father with another man, and the whole family never ate together at the dinner table. A profound loneliness developed in Reisui's heart. One day, he found his parents hanging dead by the dining table. But he was happy.↗
By coincidence, when Reisui was first starting out as a photographer, he touched the doorknob of a house with an overflowing mailbox and realized it was not locked. Within the house, Reisui found the corpse of his neighbor, who had committed suicide by hanging. Stumbling upon the first moments of "a house with a tragic past" exhilarated him.↗↗
Reisui encountered Rohan Kishibe by chance while investigating an apartment designed by a celebrity. His immense passion for the architecture left an impression on Rohan, who decided he wanted to interview Reisui.↗↗
The Five-Bedroom House With...
At some point, Reisui Takashima meets a woman at a bar who reminds him of his mother. Hearing that she is fed up with the world, Reisui tells her that if she were to commit suicide, he would photograph her dying moments. Later, Reisui enters her home, an old-fashioned five-bedroom house, to fulfill his promise.↗
Reisui invites Rohan over as a guest in order to help him gather compelling material for his manga. After a brief chat, Reisui tours Rohan around the house, showcasing his architectural expertise by pointing out several details about the old house. Although he tries to hide one room in particular with a flimsy excuse of being a bachelor, Rohan incapacitates him with Heaven's Door after reviewing their findings and investigates the room himself.↗↗
Inside the secret room, Rohan discovers a hidden photo album of a beautiful house containing a woman's dead body. Reisui regains consciousness and enters the room after him, confirming that the photos are of a house with a tragic past. Rohan accuses him of killing people for the sake of his art, which alarms Reisui enough for him to confess his past.↗↗
In spite of the shared secret, the day passes as normal. After having dinner with Rohan, while cleaning up the kitchen, Reisui is attacked and knocked unconscious by an "invader". Rohan repels the creature's attempts to consume Reisui's head with Heaven's Door. Reisui's mouth begins foaming as he wakes up, his eyes still blinded by tears. Rohan warns Reisui not to look at the creature as the two of them attempt to avoid its attacks.↗
As the "invader" begins consuming him again, Reisui reveals that since it first enveloped his eyes, he had felt happy. Reisui had seen the invader as a vision of his mother that wanted to embrace him and take him away to heaven. Even as Reisui walks out into the hallway, Rohan refuses to flee the house and begins his counterattack to save Reisui by turning him into a book. In the end, Rohan successfully tricks the invading entity and seals it inside an email, saving Reisui.↗↗
Two months after the incident, Reisui finds and contacts the relatives of the house's last victim. After explaining his part in the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, he turns himself in for trespassing. With his one phone call, he contacts Rohan, who reports on his follow-up investigation. The various facts Rohan had uncovered about the yokai stun the photographer into silence.↗↗
