01Basic information
02Appearance
03Personality
Latte is an intelligent and highly-trained dog, deeply ingrained with the discipline of his former life as a police dog. He is inherently obedient, understanding commands like "sit," "down," "stay," and "fetch" with ease. He is also very perceptive, possessing a strong sense of smell that allows him to detect drugs, and he will only bark if there is a legitimate reason.↗↗
Initially, Latte is simply loyal to his new master, Cioccolata. However, he becomes the object of Secco's jealousy. Over time, as Secco is forced to care for him, Latte reveals that he is playful and enjoys games of fetch. He forms a strong bond with Secco, eventually showing more affection and excitement for him than for Cioccolata. Over time, Latte clearly views Secco as his primary master, wagging his tail for him while averting his gaze from Cioccolata.↗↗
04Story
SPOILERS
Background
Latte was originally a police dog, partnered with an officer who was investigating Passione. When Cioccolata was assigned to eliminate the officer, he carried out the mission and subsequently decided to adopt the dog, intrigued by its potential as a tool for his sadistic experiments.↗↗
Cioccolata Adotta un Cane
Cioccolata brings the dog home, much to Secco 's confusion. While Cioccolata lavishes the dog with praise, his true intention is to train it to recapture escaped victims to heighten their despair. Secco becomes intensely jealous of the attention and affection the dog receives, especially when Cioccolata uses sugar cubes as training treats.↗↗
To force them to bond, Cioccolata devises a plan. During a walk, he pretends to forget getting a bag to pick up Latte's droppings and leaves Secco alone with the dog. Frustrated, Secco kicks a stone, and the dog instinctively plays fetch when it mishears Secco telling him to "go away over there" as "fetch." Secco discovers the joy of playing with and commanding the dog, and the two begin to bond. To test the dog's limits, Secco kicks a stone with all his might down a slope.↗↗
After this incident, Secco officially names him "Latte" based on the color of his fur and becomes his primary caretaker. Latte grows more attached to Secco than to Cioccolata. This arrangement continues for about a year until Cioccolata and Secco are summoned by the Boss for their final mission in Rome. Latte's ultimate fate, after waiting for his masters who never return, is unknown.↗↗
