Mundra

Background

Mundra possesses a Stand that he claims allows him to hear the voices of dead spirits. The spirits repeatedly discussed the fortune of a wealthy elderly woman who lived alone, eventually tempting Mundra to poison her for the money. He was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.↗↗

An individual with enough authority to arrange a plea bargain offered to have Mundra's sentence overturned if he assisted with an operation against Team Jodio. Mundra accepted and was assigned to act as a scout. His specific objective was to use Point Blank Seal to extract information from the group's minds and determine whether the Lava Rock existed and where it could be found.↗↗

Spying on Team Jodio

Before Team Jodio encounters Mundra, an operation targeting the Alohaoe family begins with a fake computer virus pop-up. A caller posing as an employee of a "Support Center" guides Alison Alohaoe through a fraudulent refund procedure, gaining access to her bank account and draining the entire $300,000 balance that Usagi had secretly provided for her.↗↗

As Team Jodio follows Alison and Tory to the Honolulu Zoo, Mundra escalates Point Blank Seal's attack. Mundra uses the stickers to monitor their conversations and learns about a secret code that Rohan Kishibe gave Jodio concerning the location of another Lava Rock. The Stand manifests deceased individuals to psychologically torment the group and causes zoo visitors to enter the alligator enclosure.↗↗↗

Point Blank Seal later manifests as Usagi's deceased father and exploits Alison's guilt over her feelings for Max, causing her to fall into the lion enclosure. Usagi throws himself toward the lions to protect his mother, and one of them bites off his left foot along with its attached sticker. Because Usagi no longer has a sticker on his body, he removes Alison and Paco's stickers. Paco then uses The Hustle to attack the stickers, transferring the damage to Mundra.↗↗

Defeat and Interrogation

Dragona immediately uses Smooth Operators to slide Mundra's facial features together, sealing his eyes and mouth.↗↗

Jodio, Paco, and Dragona interrogate Mundra while performing a coordinated dance to " Funiculì, Funiculà " and repeatedly kicking him. Smooth Operators partially reopens his mouth so that he can breathe and answer their questions. After Mundra gives them his name and begs them to stop, they reopen his eyes and demand the names of his accomplices and Tory's location.↗↗

Jodio notices the location-tracking anklet around Mundra's leg. Mundra reveals his circumstances and insists that he merely agreed to assist with the operation and is not one of their associates, describing himself as their prisoner. He also states that he did not know the operation concerned the Lava Rock until he reached the zoo. Meryl Mei Qi then speaks through Dragona's smartphone and reveals that she has been watching the entire interrogation.↗↗

Paco carries the gravely injured Usagi away while Alison and Dragona accompanies them, but Jodio remains behind when Mundra asks what will happen to him. Jodio says that he believes Mundra's explanation and feels sorry for him, but warns that Mundra has become involved with the Lava Rock. Based on his experience aboard Howler's megayacht, Jodio believes that although multiple people may search for the Lava Rock, only one person can possess it and no one else can be allowed to share its secret.↗↗

After Jodio leaves, two glowing rods descend behind Mundra and bend into the outline of a human figure. The figure places one of its legs against Mundra's leg, as one side of the figure's body begins bubbling. Several small holes suddenly tear through half of Mundra's body before the figure rips him apart. Mundra comments on the light's beauty as he dies. The glowing figure then separates back into two rods and rises into the sky.↗↗

Personality

Although he claims that he had not originally intended to murder the wealthy elderly woman, repeatedly hearing the dead discuss her fortune eventually tempted him to poison her for the money.↗↗

He mocks Jodio 's childhood behavior and disorder, exploits Dragona and Paco 's painful family and relationship histories, and torments Usagi and Alison through manifestations of their deceased loved ones.↗↗↗↗↗

Abilities / Stand

Once a target steps in a dead victim's blood, the stickers attach themselves to the target's body. They act as a boundary between the living world and the afterlife, allowing Mundra to remotely listen to conversations, examine the targets' thoughts and memories, and manifest violent visions of deceased individuals that attack them from "point blank range."↗

Mundra can also hear the voices of the dead through his Stand. This ability allowed him to hear spirits discussing the fortune of the elderly woman he later murdered.↗
