The elderly residents of Yuyanagidai. Resenting the noisy children that live in Yuyanagidai, they pray for the neighborhood's silence anywhere they can, from Buddhist and Shinto altars to Jizo statues and shrines. They even pray to the graves of people they never knew, awakening the Pitch-Black Old Man as a result. The remaining elderly confront Rohan Kishibe as he investigates the park where Ken was attacked. One of them, a bald old man whose skin resembles a world atlas, leads the discussion, which quickly turns into a one-sided appraisal of Yuyanagidai from the elders.
