As soon as the 1st Stage of the race begins, Avdul charges past Gyro Zeppeli on camelback, trying to unhorse him with his camel's weight advantage. Gyro throws one of his Steel Balls as he runs into a grove of trees with Avdul following him. Avdul is confident that he'll win the stage and get the time bonus. However, instead of lunging into what Avdul thinks will be the final blow for Gyro and his horse, Avdul's camel ends up lunging into a group of cacti.↗↗
