CHARACTER PROFILE
Tsujigami
- Primary work
- TV Drama/Film
Tsujigami (辻神) is a yokai that serves as the physical manifestation of disasters at crossroads. Places where the roads intersect in a cross shape have long been considered dangerous, and are rumored to have the potential to whisk people away to another world; as such, many revere Tsujigami as a god. Rohan calls it a demon that resides at intersections and plays tricks on humans. Normally, it retains some distance from the human world, but a human being's strong emotions can unintentionally trigger its appearance; in such cases, the yokai plays a prank on its summoner in order to amplify their emotions.
