Satoru Akefu (明負 悟, Akefu Satoru) is the identity stolen by Toru 's Stand, Wonder of U. A 79 year-old Japanese man living in the Ibaraki Prefecture, Akefu was a former member of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a graduate of the TG University School of Medicine. Toru learns of Akefu's existence during his first encounter with Yasuho 10 years before the events of JoJolion, after asking her to look up elderly Japanese men who live in nursing homes, once had a license to practice medicine, and are cut off from their family. Yasuho states that while there aren't many individuals fitting that description, Akefu is the closest one to their location.
