02Appearance
Oyecomova is a man with long, thick locks of hair, several of which curl into spirals above his head. His face bears stars and striped markings resembling the American flag, while clock-face tattoos and curving patterns cover his arms and legs. When Mountain Tim grabs his shoulder, a layer of Oyecomova's skin peels away, exposing a darker layer underneath.↗↗↗
He wears a peaked cap decorated with a chain and openings through which his spiral-shaped hair protrudes. His outfit includes a sleeveless, high-collared vest fastened across a ribbed front panel, a skirt divided into long, pointed sections, wristbands, gloves, and high boots. A mesh veil covers his face. According to Hirohiko Araki, the netting protects him from sunlight and insects, reflecting practical preparation for the race.↗↗↗
03Personality
Oyecomova is composed and defiant when threatened. He continues searching Gyro 's belongings while Mountain Tim holds him at gunpoint, answering Tim's questions with questions of his own. His warnings about touching him are delivered with the same composure: after Tim tears off a piece of his skin, Oyecomova tells him to keep holding it while calmly moving away from the impending explosion.↗↗↗
He regards his Stand as a divine gift and his survival in the Arizona Desert as God's will, interpreting his new ability as a mission entrusted to him. This conviction makes him boastful about his power. After discovering that Gyro's sweat will dislodge the bomb pins, he declares that God's handiwork has no weakness. Later, he compares Johnny and Gyro to mice trapped in a basket being put into a fire and boasts that his ability leaves them unable even to breathe.↗↗↗↗
Oyecomova is ruthless toward servants of the Neapolitan monarchy. His hostility extends beyond Gyro, as he intends to return home and use his Stand to assassinate the king.↗↗↗↗
04Abilities
Stand
Boku no Rhythm wo Kiitekure allows Oyecomova to turn things he touches into bombs fitted with clock-shaped detonators and removable pins. Once a pin comes loose, the bomb explodes after a short delay; keeping the pin in place prevents detonation. Mountain Tim discovers that a dislodged pin can also be put back into its original hole to stop the explosion.↗↗↗↗
Oyecomova applies the ability to his own shed skin, a rat, water, flying insects, and cigarette smoke. His use of smoke allows him to injure Gyro through the air he breathes.↗↗↗↗↗↗↗
Explosive Expertise
Before acquiring a Stand, Oyecomova used conventional explosives to bomb the Neapolitan king's carriage.↗↗↗
Combat Tactics
Oyecomova exploits the conditions needed to keep his bombs from detonating. He touches Gyro's hand to force him to hold his Steel Ball in place, then attacks with an explosive rat while Gyro is unable to throw it safely.↗↗
During the mounted pursuit, he uses the current to send water bombs toward his pursuers and disperses further bombs through wasps and smoke, attacking through the surrounding environment while staying ahead of them.↗↗↗
Horseback Riding
Oyecomova rides an unnamed horse and carries saddlecloth number 242. He reaches the 2nd Stage's intermediate checkpoint fourth, behind Mountain Tim, Gyro, and Johnny, although the checkpoint awards no points. He also maintains his lead over Gyro and Johnny while riding through a river and deploying his Stand.↗↗↗↗
05Story
SPOILERS
Background
Oyecomova is a terrorist from the Kingdom of Naples. In 1888, he bombed the king Dell'Ovo III 's carriage. The king was absent, but five people, including two children, were killed. Oyecomova was arrested and awaited a death sentence, but escaped before it could be carried out. According to Gyro Zeppeli, he killed a prison guard by putting a small quantity of explosive in the guard's ear.↗↗↗
Oyecomova then went to America to participate in the Steel Ball Run in September 1890. On September 27, Oyecomova survived a passage through a Devil's Palm in the Arizona Desert, awakening Boku no Rhythm wo Kiitekure. He believes that God has transformed his skill with explosives into a supernatural ability. He became an agent of Funny Valentine, who sent him after Gyro in pursuit of the Saint's Corpse. A $200,000 bounty was also offered for Gyro's death, attracting the Boomboom Family.↗↗↗↗
Attacking Mountain Tim and Gyro
Four days after awakening his Stand, Oyecomova arrives fourth at the intermediate checkpoint of the 2nd Stage, where the staff tell him that Mountain Tim, Gyro, and Johnny have already arrived. He notices a discarded royal seal and asks whether the settlement has a telephone.↗↗
Oyecomova warns Tim not to release the skin and backs away. Tim opens his hand, revealing the Stand's clock-shaped bombs, which then explode. As Tim is caught in the blast, Oyecomova declares that he will kill Gyro and will not allow him to race for the king. The explosion destroys much of the hotel and badly wounds Tim, although Oh! Lonesome Me allows him to separate his body and survive.↗↗↗↗
Tim advises Gyro that killing Oyecomova will end the ability. Oyecomova kicks an explosive rat toward Gyro, attempting to make him release his grip; the explosion injures Gyro, but he continues holding the ball. When a pin falls out of Gyro's hand, Tim urges him to retrieve it and reinsert it into its original position. Unable to open his hand safely, Gyro pushes the pin through the back of his hand into his palm, preventing the explosion.↗↗↗↗↗
As Oyecomova walks back toward his horse, he notices that Gyro's hand is sweating and predicts that the moisture will loosen the pins. Once Gyro can no longer keep them in place, he throws the Steel Ball. Using the Spin, he transfers the blast's damage along his body's surface to his leg, saving his right arm, while the Steel Ball strikes Oyecomova in the neck. Oyecomova flees on horseback toward the Zombie Horse, and Gyro and Johnny pursue him.↗↗↗↗
Pursuit and Defeat
Gyro tells Johnny that Oyecomova is heading for the Zombie Horse to heal his injuries. Oyecomova estimates that Gyro's Steel Balls are effective within roughly twenty meters and tries to remain outside that distance. Upon reaching a river, Oyecomova pours water from his container across his hand, turning the falling water into bombs. Gyro realizes that the bombs detonate a moment after their pins are disturbed.↗↗↗↗
After they escape the insects, an explosion tears through Gyro's cheek. He notices the smoke around them and Oyecomova smoking ahead. Recognizing the danger, Gyro tells Johnny to keep his mouth closed and stop both himself and his horse from breathing. Oyecomova reveals the bombs in his smoke, boasts that the pair have no escape, and announces his plan to return home and assassinate the king with his new power.↗↗↗↗↗↗
Gyro strikes Oyecomova in the face with both Steel Balls, crushing his head and knocking him from his horse as he and Johnny ride on. The attack leaves Oyecomova fatally wounded.↗↗↗
Aftermath
Valentine later reveals that Oyecomova left a report at the checkpoint identifying Gyro as having found a Corpse Part in the Devil's Palm. He cites the report as proof that Gyro possesses it, noting that Oyecomova failed in his attempt to seize it. Johnny subsequently realizes that Oyecomova and Fritz von Stroheim were looking for the mummified left arm, which was actually inside Johnny's own body.↗↗↗↗
