02Appearance

Michael is a young, tall, and highly muscular man of Puerto Rican descent. He has short, wavy dark hair with a prominent lock that falls over his forehead, thick eyebrows, and strong facial features.↗↗

His typical street attire consists of a sleeveless jacket or vest worn open over a T-shirt, dark pants, fingerless gloves, and boots. His vest notably has the phrase "KICK 'EM" written across the back.↗

03Personality

At first glance, Michael appears to be a typical, ruthless street criminal. He is perfectly willing to violently tackle and mug a seemingly defenseless teenage girl walking alone in Harlem, and he is quick to draw a knife when she shows no fear of him.↗↗

However, beneath his hardened exterior lies a surprisingly compassionate and protective nature. Seeing a limping stray dog, he tosses a piece of meat to it. When Irene reacts to his mugging attempt not with fear, but by gently holding his knife and hugging him, Michael is completely disarmed and confused. Despite his tough-guy persona, he cannot bring himself to harm her and feels as if he has been hypnotized. He quickly becomes fiercely protective, brutally beating up a group of thugs who ask to "share" Irene with him, and later elbowing a shady talent scout in the face to prevent Irene from being exploited.↗↗

Though he initially complains about Irene being a burden and tries to leave her at a subway station, his conscience wins out. He ultimately views her with deep fondness, eventually dedicating his debut music single to her memory.↗↗

04Abilities

Michael is physically fit and capable, able to easily overpower multiple street thugs in a fistfight on his own.↗

05Story

SPOILERS

Meeting Irene

While hanging around the slums of Harlem, Michael spots a young girl, Irene, walking completely alone. Shocked that a girl would wander into such a dangerous area, he seizes the opportunity, tackling her to the ground and snatching her purse. To his disappointment, he finds it only contains makeup. Frustrated by Irene's total lack of fear, Michael pulls out a knife to threaten her. Instead of cowering, Irene casually pinches the blade between two fingers and gives him a warm hug.↗↗

Shortly after, a group of local thugs approach, demanding Michael hand Irene over to them. Michael firmly refuses and single-handedly beats them up to protect her.↗↗

The Protector

Michael and Irene head to a local bar, where a suspicious man approaches Irene, promising to make her rich as a "movie star." Irene gullibly agrees to the offer, prompting Michael to step in and violently elbow the man in the face, scolding Irene and warning her not to trust everyone she meets.↗↗

Later, at a subway station, an old man swindles Irene into buying a supposedly worthless, used horse racing stub. Annoyed by her constant naivety, Michael declares he is done babysitting her and tries to leave. However, Irene casually mentions that she has nowhere to go because her father and butler were murdered. Unable to abandon a homeless orphan, Michael relents and brings her back to his apartment to stay. The following day, the two team up to rob a local store for cash.↗↗

The Assassin's Attack

While they are at Michael's home, a female assassin sent to kill Irene suddenly crashes through the window. Michael watches in shock as the battle unfolds. He witnesses Irene's traps—hidden landmines planted in his floorboards—blow off the assassin's foot, and watches in horror as the assassin unleashes a swarm of man-eating fire ants.↗↗

Michael then learns the truth about Irene. She is not a helpless, naive girl, but a legendary and lethal hitwoman. He watches as Irene uses her Killer Makeup to expel the ants, perform a dance, and trick the assassin into swallowing her own flesh-eating insects.↗↗

With the threat eliminated, Irene approaches Michael. She apologizes for deceiving him and masking her true, bloodstained life behind a pure facade. She gives him a parting kiss and vanishes, never to be seen by him again.↗↗

A New Life

Sometime after Irene's departure, Michael discovers that the "worthless" old racing stub Irene was swindled into buying was actually a massive winning ticket. Using the fortune from the ticket, Michael leaves his life of crime in New York behind and moves to Los Angeles two years later. He pursues his dream of becoming a musician and releases his debut single.↗↗
