Misc A young woman whom the Aztecs bound on an altar as a sacrifice in a ritual. When the chief plunges a dagger into her chest, her blood splatters all over his mask, activating the mask and turning him into a vampire. Like the Aztec Chief, the maiden is shown in the 1993 OVA. Although she doesn't appear in the anime adaptation, the mural in the Phantom Blood anime's ending depicts her sacrifice.
