02Appearance

The 37th universe's Abbacchio is a tall man with an average build and stern features. He has long, light, shoulder-length hair, with the bottom strands jutting upwards. On top of his head, he wears a serrated headpiece. Sometimes he has dark lipstick on.↗

His outfit consists of a long, dark, collarless coat with no shirt underneath and criss-cross lacing across his chest. He also wears dark pants and a belt with a circular buckle having an "A" inside it.↗

03Personality

Abbacchio is a stoic and meticulous investigator, shaped by his past experience as a police officer. He has a serious and skeptical demeanor, not trusting people easily and expecting honesty from those he works with, watching George Joestar closely for any signs of deception.↗

Despite his guarded nature, Abbacchio has a powerful sense of responsibility. He's focused on uncovering the truth, even if it requires him to delve into disturbing details or face unnerving sights. For instance, he shows concern over whether Rohan Kishibe sterilized his thermometer before he has to perform an autopsy.↗↗

04Abilities

Stand

Abbacchio wields a Stand named Videodrome, which has similar abilities to Moody Blues but with more limitations. It is capable of materializing recent events that have happened to someone into a watchable, interactive hologram.↗

SPOILERS

Tracking Down the Boss

Abbacchio helps Giorno (Universe?) Giorno Giovanna from an unknown universe and the others in Passione with tracking down their boss. He accompanies Detective Daibakusho Curry in their investigation.↗↗

After they mysteriously find the bodies of Diavolo and Kosaku Kawajiri (Universe 37) Incarnation of Kosaku Kawajiri in the 37th universe, who they assume is Yoshikage Kira at the time, Abbacchio uses Videodrome to investigate their deaths. Bucciarati (Universe 37) Incarnation of Bruno Bucciarati in the 37th universe shares the holographic video recording to Jorge Joestar (Universe 37) A singularity from the 37th universe.↗

Autopsies

When the original universe George Joestar is brought to Arrow Cross House, Abbacchio describes their estimated time of death and replays the recordings so that George could notice any suspicious details. George points out a clue that Kira's sweat on his face was instantly drying before it reached his shirt, so Abbacchio and NYPD Blue also touch Kira's chest on Videodrome's recording so they can see for themselves.↗

George asks Rohan Kishibe (Universe 37) Incarnation of Rohan Kishibe in the 37th universe for a thermometer so that they could do autopsies. Abbacchio and NYPD Blue are reluctant to take rectal temperatures until George convinces them to by saying they shouldn't let an amateur handle it. Grossing Abbacchio out, Rohan describes how he used the thermometer on various wild animals such as birds, cats, and a boar, but he assures that the thermometer is well sterilized.↗

Traitor Among the Gang

Later, NYPD Blue and Abbacchio notice that Diavolo's pages from Heaven's Door were not in order; his body only had odd pages, meaning that Diavolo had an alternate personality and someone else had the even pages.↗↗
