Ken's Mother

The mother of Ken and another infant child. Ken's reports of the Grinning Black Monkey in Yuyanagidai scare her, even more so when he is physically attacked and loses his ability to speak. When she learns she is expecting another child, she convinces her family to move away from the area. She later meets Rohan Kishibe when Ken looks in his sketchbook; upon realizing he is a manga artist, she convinces him to listen to Ken's story. Afterward, she is called back to look after her other child, leaving Ken with just enough time to sketch the monkey that attacked him.
