As a child, Noriaki Kakyoin was disinterested in making friends as he felt no one could understand him due to having Hierophant Green. His homeroom elementary school teacher was concerned and talked to the boy's mother, Mrs. Kakyoin, about the dilemma. Mrs. Kakyoin was embarrassed to admit that even she doesn't understand her son. As Noriaki observed, his parents seemed very devoted to each other and deeply connected, as his dad had his mom and his mom had his dad, while he himself was different. Noriaki's parents planned a family trip to Egypt while Noriaki was a high school student, and he ended up meeting DIO while on the vacation.
