Aki Marcela de la Vega (アキ・マルセラ・デ・ラ・ベーガ, Aki Marusera de ra Bēga) is an archaeologist and part-time researcher in the Speedwagon Foundation. She is an overweight Japanese Peruvian with an onion-shaped nose and half moon glasses. As she completed a lot of fieldwork in Latin America, she knows more about the country's history and geography than the rest of the Foundation members combined. During Domingo's report, Aki Marcela shows the Foundation members the photo her colleague managed to take of Fernando Alhorn while he was working at a mining company in around 1966. She also shows them footage of an interrogation between Alhorn and an investigator.
